Of course, the obvious place to follow up the Blair and Bragg issues is at Media Minded, "
Got my mind on the media, and the media on my mind"...

Whilst
Kaus and
Instantman are all NYT all the time, there is still some interest for UK folk in the goings on of American journalism scandals. In particular, though Robert Fisk appears to have had a dodgy date-line on one of his Iraq reports (placing him at a location at tour he was on that day didn't go, per Private Eye), in general UK reporters seem to do their re-write work without usually claiming they're somewhere.
There are exceptions, but, for example, the Times's main US correspondents will often date-line their pieces "Washington" or "New York" for stories throughout the US. Perhaps passing on slightly dodgily sourced materials is OK, provided you don't say you're on the scene, implying you've seen it to be true....
(for the NYT's policy, see this
story, though, as Instantman has said, it's hard to believe the media taking on trust similar arguments from any other industries....)

Still not seen the film. But have the inside scoop. Must gain weight, collect comics, and then can go in fond anticipation of number 2...
